When I photograph in black and white, I'm looking for graphical designs. Everything is simplified in shades of grey so shapes and textures comes through very clearly. My interpretation becomes more figurative and less literal. In this scene, I'm playing with pure composition. laying out the tiny leaves and delicate branches in the frame where they all get their equal respect that they deserve. Some branches are coming in from the top wanting some of the action. This is a playful bunch!
